ADHD Treatment in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
It’s time to take back control.
Your brain has its own rhythm. Let’s learn how to work with it, not against it.
If you’ve spent years battling distraction, restlessness, impulsive behavior, or difficulty paying attention, especially in your work, relationships, or daily routines, it might finally make sense why things have felt harder than they should. Many adults with ADHD go undiagnosed for years, often blaming themselves for things that were never their fault. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder isn’t a sign of laziness or a lack of willpower. It’s a legitimate neurodevelopmental disorder, and with the right diagnosis and treatment, things can get better.
Find Relief with the Help of an Experienced ADHD Psychiatry Provider
Whether you’ve just received an ADHD diagnosis or you’ve been navigating adult ADHD for years, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed by the treatment choices. My role is to walk alongside you, at your pace, and with a treatment plan that respects your lifestyle and goals. I offer medication management using both stimulant medications (such as methylphenidate or amphetamine) and non-stimulant options, depending on your needs.
Online Supportive Therapy for ADHD Symptoms
I also provide supportive therapy—a flexible, person-centered approach that offers space to talk through challenges and build skills that support long-term change. Supportive therapy can be incredibly helpful in managing ADHD. We may focus on things like productivity, emotional regulation, self-compassion, or the effects of coexisting mental health conditions like anxiety or substance use. My goal is always to support the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
QbCheck: A Clearer Way to Understand ADHD
To support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, I offer QbCheck—a simple, FDA-cleared, computer-based test designed to assess ADHD symptoms in adults. QbCheck objectively measures attention, movement, and impulsivity, giving us real-time insights that go beyond self-reporting or questionnaires. Depending on the results, this test can help determine whether medication is appropriate, if we need to adjust your current treatment, or simply better understand your unique ADHD profile.
GeneSight® Testing for the
Right ADHD Treatment
Let’s Take the Guesswork Out of ADHD Medication
When you're trying to find the right ADHD medication as an adult, it can feel like a never-ending guessing game. There are so many treatment options, but not every medication works the same way for every person. If you’ve felt discouraged or overwhelmed by the trial-and-error process, you’re not alone in that experience.
That’s why I offer the GeneSight® test—a simple, non-invasive cheek swab that analyzes your DNA to help inform mental health medication choices. It gives us a clearer picture of how your body might respond to specific medications commonly used to treat ADHD and other mental health conditions.
Here’s how the GeneSight test can support your journey:
Streamline the process of finding an ADHD medication that works
Lower the risk of side effects by identifying which medications your body may have trouble processing
Understand how your genetics may influence your response to stimulant medications
Make medication use safer and more effective
Complement other treatment options

Seeing an ADHD specialist, especially one trained in treatment of ADHD in adults, can make a big difference. While many healthcare providers are familiar with ADHD, specialists have deeper experience with the wide range of symptoms of ADHD, the different types of attention challenges, and how ADHD can show up differently in adults than it does in younger people.

Adult ADHD can show up in subtle or disruptive ways: difficulty concentrating, disorganization, chronic forgetfulness, procrastination, emotional overwhelm, and restlessness. These symptoms may not always look like the classic hyperactivity often seen in kids, but they can still interfere with daily life. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, ADHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can start early in life and continue into adulthood. That’s why getting an accurate diagnosis is the first step in understanding what’s been going on and how treatment can help.

There are several treatment options for ADHD in adults, and we’ll find what works best for you. Many medications for ADHD work by increasing the levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain, improving focus and impulse control. Non-stimulant medications may be good options for those who’ve had severe side effects or who don’t respond well to stimulants. In addition to medication, I offer supportive therapy to explore coping strategies, organization tools, and skills training that help you function more easily day to day.

It may take time to find the right fit—that’s a normal part of the process. Some medications work quickly, while others (like atomoxetine and antidepressants) work more slowly but may be effective over time. We’ll work together to monitor your progress, make careful adjustments, and prioritize your comfort and well-being. It’s never about rushing—it’s about getting it right.
